This was kind of a fun, spur of the moment strip. I’d like to lie and say it came in a dream, but it did come immediately following waking up from one. So, that’s sort of mystical in a completely not-at-all manner.
Anyway, Macbeth has always been a favorite play, and these lines seem to fit well with the idea of putting off papers (with a little strong arming of them, of course).

BILLY: Hey Rick, wanna go to a movie?

TREY: Hey Rick, wanna go to eat?
TITLE: And tomorrow
JIMMY: Hey Rick, wanna go watch paint dry on a wall?
TITLE: Creeps in this petty pace from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded time
RICK: All right, the Macbeth paper is twenty pages long. If I can just type three words a day, I'll be done in four months by finals!
TITLE: And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
RICK: Okay, yesterday was a fluke. And Thursday. And Monday. But today, a solid twelve words!
TITLE: The way to dusty death
RICK: No time to chat! I have two sentences of a 20 page paper done, and it's due tomorrow!
