I always enjoy the idea of people not getting what it is that’s controversial about them. I think it shows a weird nexus of innocence, naivety, and ignorance rolled into one. The best part, however, is that he really feels like he gets the issue, but really has no clue. Yes, we enjoy making up things for characters to say that make them look stupid and then laughing at them. We’re bad people.
